In this series on selecting your PFE topic wisely, we now focus on the third key criterion: feasibility.
A topic may be brilliant, but if it’s not feasible within your constraints, it may lead to failure or delays.
✅ How to evaluate this criterion?
- Can the topic be completed within the allowed time frame?
- Do you have the skills required or the time to learn them?
- Are the necessary data, tools, or resources accessible?
- Is the scope suitable for a final-year project?
👍 Examples for
- A topic with direct access to a clean dataset.
- A project doable with open-source tools or remote collaboration.
- A subject in your field of strength, with an available expert supervisor.
👎 Examples against
- A topic requiring difficult institutional approvals.
- A project depending on expensive or unavailable equipment.
- A too-broad topic without a clear framework.
